There are 2 extra steps to reach this suite and a strong handrail is fixed to the wall to assist you. Once up the steps the bathroom and bedroom are all on one level. Again there is no walk-in shower but only a hand shower over the bath. The bathroom is very spacious. However please note the side of the bath is quite high so might not be suited to people with restricted mobility. The bedroom offers masses of space in all parts of the room - however if the sofa is required as a bed the space is limited. Wifi access in room. This is a large sunny room and ideal for a longer stay. The bed is super king size with a luxury mattress.
A particularly comfortable bed, lots of space for movement. Bed can be converted to a 6ft double. The bathroom is on the same level. There is no walk in shower but a cradle shower in the bath. The flooring is non-slip and has under-floor heating. The room has a television and tea and coffee making facilities. Clear instructions are written in the room of how to contact me in an emergency. Verbal instructions can be given on request. Wifi can be accessed in this room on a booster but can be slow. Wifi on the main system canbe picked up in the dining room.
Has a walk in wet room however it is designed to accommodate the old building and is not conventional. This room offers a very comfortable 5 foot wide bed with memory foam topper and masses of space. The sofa (futon) converts to a 4ft 6in wide bed making this an ideal family room. A selection of traditional toys such as the dolls house remain in the room. Wifi can be accessed in this room.

Fyfield manor is an 800 year old house so may not be suitable for some people depending on the level of disability. Hopefully you will find the following information useful but please email me or phone if you have any questions or concerns. The property is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. This is due to a fast flowing unfenced stream in the grounds and the wrought iron staircase which a small child could squeeze through.
Fyfield is half a mile from the centre of Benson on the road to Ewelme. Although there is a footpath there is no street lighting and it is a good 10 minute walk to the nearest pub. I offer yellow jackets and torches for those whoe would like to walk to the village. The 136 bus stops near the property and runs every hour except on Sundays between Benson and Goring Station. Recommendation - a car is recommended if you have any degree of physical disability.
Cars can be unloaded at the front door and assistance is always offered. Parking is a few yards from the entrance and is on one level. An energy saving light is always on after dark over the front door.
Both are on the same level offering plenty of space. There is a low step to access the games room. I offer a good selection of chairs which can accommodate most people's postural requirements. I am in fact an Alexander Technique teacher and so am particularly aware of the importance of a good chair! Although the bedrooms are ensuite there is a downstairs cloakroom available for guests to save them trekking up and down the stairs of which there are 17.
Is always lit with an energy efficient light.
Bedrooms - as descibed above
There are several gardens which are accessible to guests on request.
